Yangzhou Hanjiang Road South Extension Area Soil Remediation and Control Project

The project site is located on the south side of the intersection of Hanjiang South Road and Chunjiang Road in Guazhou Town, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City, with a total area of approximately 64608 square meters. It will be treated using restoration and risk management techniques. The excessive pollutants in the local soil include arsenic, lead, cadmium, mercury, benzo [a] pyrene, benzo [a] anthracene, benzo [b] fluoranthene, indeno [1,2,3-cd] pyrene, dibenzo [a, h] anthracene, petroleum hydrocarbons (C10-C40), 1,4-dichlorobenzene, etc. Among them, the polluted soil within 0.5m of the surface of the plot and 2m below the road will be excavated. The heavy metal polluted soil will be physically washed and reduced before being sent to the cement kiln for collaborative disposal. The composite polluted soil will be directly transported to the cement kiln for collaborative disposal. The volume of polluted soil washed and treated is about 32036.5m3, and the volume of polluted soil for collaborative disposal in the cement kiln is about 17980.7m3. The lower soil and groundwater will be blocked in situ by vertical and horizontal barriers, with a vertical barrier circumference of about 1098m (depth 11-17.08m) and a horizontal barrier area of about 64608m2. The contract period for this project is 120 days. On October 26, 2023, the project passed the engineering completion acceptance work. On November 14, 2024, the project passed the expert review for effectiveness evaluation.
